1940s Cuban Cocktail

1/2 oz lime
1/2 tsp powdered sugar
2 oz rum

In a small glass squeeze juice from lime. Add powdered sugar and stir until dissolved. In a shaker filled with cracked ice, combine sweetened juice and spirit. Shake well and strain into chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a twist of lime.
