Holiday Glogg

6 oz dried figs
1 cup whole almonds, blanched
1 1/2 cups raisins

whole cardamoms, cracked
6 whole cloves
2
cinnamon sticks
peel from 3 oranges, cut in strips

750 ml bottles white dinner wine
1 750 ml bottles red dinner wine

cups sugar

Combine figs, almonds, raisins, cardamom, cloves, cinnamon, orange peel and one bottle of white dinner wine in large sauce pan or pot. Cover and heat. Do not boil. Remove from heat and set aside two days. When ready to serve, remove fruits and spices. Add opne bottle white wine and one bottle red. Stir in sugar. Heat to simmer. Do NOt Boil. Serve in preheated mugs with raisins and almonds in each mug.
