1940s Hot Brick Toddy

1 1/2 oz bourbon
1 tsp butter
1 tsp powdered sugar
3 pinches cinnamon
 boiling water

Combine butter, sugar cinnamon and 1 ounce boiling water in a stemmed mug. Add bourbon and fill with boiling water. Stir with cinnamon stick.
