2 oz citrus rum
2 oz orange juice
2 oz ginger ale

Pour the rum first into a tall glass with ice,then pour ginger ale and orange juice.

The scurvy skank came about on an evening when a visiting friend asked me to make him a drink. I asked him if he would be willing to try out a new recipe I had been working on. He agreed and, liking the drink, asked what it was called. I had not thought of a name at this point and he said it should have a citrus component in the name (hence scurvy, a disease that sailors got from not enough vitaminC.) The skank portion of the name was an honorarium to the females present who also enjoyed the drink.
