Mulling Syrup


1/2 cup water
7 oz brown sugar
1/2 tsp nutmeg, allspice, cinnamon
3 tbsp molasses
juice of two oranges
zest from one orange, chopped fine
750 ml triple sec

In a large pot combine ingredients. Simmer over low heat uncovered for 30 minutes. Store in airtight jar and refrigerate. Keep for no more than two weeks.
