Toxic Waste

1 oz Midori
1 1/2 oz gin or vodka
Mountain Dew

Pour alcohols over ice and fill with Mountain Dew. This is best served in a frosted highball.

Submitted by Ted Metzler, Fairfax, Virginia, USA

When the bright, yellowish Mountain Dew and the deep green of Midori were the only ingredients available one night, the Toxic Waste cocktail was born. The name comes from the bright yellowish green color of the drink. The cocktail is far too sweet without the addition of gin or vodka. The additional advantage of gin is that it allows the drink to actually glow in black light, looking very much like the stereotypical glowing toxic waste seen in many a second rate science fiction movie. If a frosted glass is not available, a white plastic cup is recommended, to enhance the glowing nature of the drink.
