1940s Whiskey Toddy

1 1/2 oz rye or bourbon whiskey
1 lump sugar
boiling water
lemon slice

Put lump of sugar in hot whiskey glass and fill two-thirds with boiling water. Add whiskey. Stir and decorate with slice of lemon. Grate nutmeg on top.
