Wine Torch

3 cups apple juice
20 whole cloves
4 sticks cinnamon
1 lemon
750 ml red dinner wine

750 ml port wine
4 oz brandy

Squeeze juice from lemon. Remove pulp from peel and cut peel into slices. Simmer apple juice, cloves, cinnamon and lemon peel 15 minutes. Strain; add lemon juice, red wine and port. Simmer again, do not boil. Heat brandy, ignite it and ladle slowly into hot wine. Serve in preheated mugs. (Serves 25).
