Where it's made: Small-batch Bourbon can legally be made in the United States. Most of it comes from from Kentucky, the state in which it was originally produced. What does it do? Small-batch Bourbon's distinctive taste is generally milder than straight bourbon. Expect the flavor of caramel, cloves and honey. Small-batch bourbons are considered a foundation ingredient of a cocktail, and can easily overwhelm the other components if not properly prepared. How to mix it? Small-batch Bourbon is most often enjoyed either straight or on the rocks. In a cocktail, it is normally blended with spring water, mint or citrus fruit. Where
